Welcome to the vibrant world of Café Olé, a culinary gem tucked away in the picturesque La Punta Zicatela of Puerto Escondido, Mexico. Located at Calle Alejandro Cardenas, this restaurant stands out as the go-to spot for breakfast and brunch lovers. With an infectious energy and a laid-back atmosphere, it’s no surprise that locals and travelers alike flock here for an unforgettable dining experience.
Imagine starting your day with the tantalizing aroma of rich Oaxacan coffee wafting through the air. As Andrew Komaromy raved, Café Olé serves "the BEST breakfast & coffee in La Punta!" With a menu featuring an array of options from hearty desayunos to fresh ensaladas, there’s something for everyone. The cappuccino is a standout, crafted to perfection and ideal for those seeking a strong jolt to kick-start their day.
One of the highlights of Café Olé is not just the coffee or the food but the vibrant atmosphere that surrounds it. As Laura Hutson noted, it is "easily the busiest place in La Punta for breakfast," and for good reason. The lively presence of a DJ adds an upbeat rhythm to meals, ensuring guests enjoy not just delectable food but also a dynamic dining environment.
The portions here embody the spirit of sharing, with generous servings that often leave diners satisfied enough to split dishes. Gaby Hernandez praised the Olé waffle and the Champion omelette, remarking that the flavors were delightful. The dirty chai has equally garnered favorable mentions, reinforcing the café's commitment to serving high-quality beverages alongside its vibrant meals.
If you have room after your meal, don’t miss out on their smoothies, particularly the refreshing strawberry banana smoothie. Amy Downey describes the juice and coffee as fresh and invigorating, making Café Olé a perfect brunch spot, inviting both the health-conscious and the indulgent.
In a world where breakfast can often feel rushed, Café Olé invites you to take a moment to enjoy the simple pleasures of life—great food, a relaxed vibe, and a warm community feel. Whether you are a surfer grabbing a quick bite before hitting the waves or a traveler seeking a comfortable spot to unwind, Café Olé is a must-visit destination that leaves you looking forward to your next visit.

The BEST breakfast & coffee in La Punta! A must-visit in Puerto Escondido. Café Olé is 100% the spot for the best breakfast in La Punta. We came here for coffee and it was the perfect start to our day. The cappuccino was amazing, made with rich Oaxacan coffee. My daughter got a strawberry banana smoothie (smoothiecito) and it was so fresh and delicious. The whole place has such a great vibe—perfect for travelers, surfers, or anyone looking for a quality brunch in Puerto Escondido. It's always busy for a reason: great food, perfect coffee, and a fantastic location right in La Punta Zicatela. We will be back!

Absolutely massive meal portions! This place is easily the busiest place in La Punta for breakfast and it’s well deserved. The meals were all priced at M$220 but we easily could have shared a meal between 2 people. The sweet pink relish that comes on the table is super tasty. The iced latte was also tasty and they have a DJ which adds to the vibe

Atmosphere, food, and service were all great! We ordered the Olé waffle, the Champion omelette, and one of the crepes - everything was delightful. It’s definitely a perfect breakfast spot. Everyone left happy and full, and honestly, the portions are generous enough to share. The dirty chai was magnificent too. Overall, I’d eat breakfast there every day if I could.

The best breakfast in La Punta area. All dishes cost 140 pesos. The portions here are big. The quality is fresh and tasteful. I really enjoyed all the scrambled egg plates. Also the fruit dishes, smoothies and coffees are amazing here. The iced coffees here are also good! The frappé was a little too sweet. But it's fine. The setting is cute and near the beach. Beautiful pink flowers all over this place.
